Director of Policy and Strategy
Deborah Son is the Director of Policy and Strategy at Lincoln, and has over 10 years of systems changes, advocacy, and program development experience. Her work spans across various fields including trauma-informed care, anti-violence, children and family services, and public and behavioral health. Deborah received her Master in Social Work from California State University, East Bay and her B.A. in English from the University of California, Los Angeles. She is an active leader with the National Association of Social Workers, California Chapter. In previous work, Deborah was a Contra Costa County Commissioner and a national technical assistance provider in gender-based violence issues. As a second generation Californian, and is inspired daily by the children and families of these local communities whose voices she works diligently to represent when advocating for sociopolitical change at the local, state, and federal levels.
