2024 WINTER NEWSLETTER   -  ISSUE NO 5.  -  PUBLISHED 1.25.24

New Year, New Successes, and New Opportunities!

As we enter 2024, we would like to take a moment to reflect on all the successes that we accomplished in 2023. We are immensely proud of what we have achieved, and we know that we could not have done it without the generous support of our partners, donors, and funders.

Did you know that only 13% of children's authors are African-American?

We have many talented local African-American authors throughout the Bay Area. Join us and meet some! Each Saturday East County First 5 will be presenting local black authors. Please drop in to hear their stories and fill out a raffle ticket for a chance to win a set of seven books, one from each author.

Thriving neighborhoods are essential for a child's success and kindergarten readiness.

We are so proud of our partnership with First 5 Alameda County and our Neighborhoods Ready for School sister agencies. Watch First 5's docu-series highlighting the importance of place-based initiatives and their impact on children, families, and neighborhoods.
