Lincoln Staff Highlights

We have a great team at Lincoln! Our employees are mission-driven, passionate individuals who have come together from all walks of life and experiences to serve children, youth and families. We share common goals to disrupt the cycles of poverty and trauma, to face issues of race, equity and diversity, and to make a difference in our communities. In order to try to acknowledge these outstanding employees, we will be highlighting several of them over the course of the next few months.

Christopher Miracle

Christopher Miracle

Christopher Miracle – Project Permanence
Chris transitioned over to Project Permanence after spending time in Lincoln’s Kinship program. Since Chris’s arrival, he has done amazing work with his clients. Chris is reliable in all aspects of the job and is often called upon to tackle the toughest client situations. From toddlers to older probation clients, Chris has done it all and has certainly become one of the most well-rounded and versatile community liaisons. The passion that Chris brings to this job is difficult to match, and you can see how much he wants his clients to succeed if you take the time to sit down and talk with him. We have witnessed firsthand Chris’s dedication to his clients. Chris is always making time for his clients, and does a tremendous job of meeting clients where they are at. Even if it is 7AM or 7PM, he’s there. On top of all this, Chris is a team player first and foremost, and many Project Permanence staff members often rave about the quality of work Chris produces. We are lucky to have him, and we am excited to see the impact Chris will continue to have on his clients in the future.

Naomi Burks

Naomi Burks

Naomi Burks – EXCEL
Naomi exudes compassion everyday when she comes to work and this is evident her level of empathy for her student and the students she supports at Glassbrook Elementary School. Naomi is caring, supportive, and strives to create a safe, consistent, and structured academic environment for her students to learn. She is constantly asking questions, is open to learning, and works hard every day to make sure her student is able to meet his IEP goals. This year, Naomi is working with a student on the Autism Spectrum who is placed in a moderate/severe Special Day class. This is a new student population for Naomi but she has handled the transition with grace, a positive attitude, and openness to learning. She has gained insight into the functions of behaviors and why student on the Autism Spectrum behave and function the way they do. Her Glassbrook team report, “Naomi is a great asset for our classroom. She is always looking out for the well being of all students, not just only her client. She goes the extra mile to come up with strategies and suggestions on how to better support her client and the classroom. She is the mother to the classroom and is always ready lend a helping hand. She is an over achiever and strives for the best. She is her own worst critic, but this shows how passionate and caring she is about her work.

Julie Fox

Julie Fox

Julie Fox - HOPE Contra Costa
HOPE CC swooped her back up after returning from maternity leave into our newly created part time PUSD funded floater position. We began to meet and discuss what the position should/could entail and Julie was right on board ready to support and be flexible with the districts needs as well as holding true to Lincoln's values and mission. She immediately went to the school and began establishing connections with key players. She has been an awesome team player meeting not only with all the school staff at the 3 different schools she supports but with our Lincoln staff at each of those sights to learn the ins and outs of the school and its culture. She also meets with the other Lincoln floater to discuss strategies that have worked for her and share ideas on how to engage families, provide brief therapy, share resources and create curriculums for the groups they are running at the different schools. Julie is able to ask for support from supervisors as needed. She is a proactive, independent worker with a high level of integrity. We are so happy to have Julie back!
